Margaret M. Hanson, age 72 of Shafer died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at St. John's Northeast Hospital in Maplewood.
Margaret was born on March 7, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to John and Mary (Bracken) Blyer. She spent her early years in Canton and Akron, Ohio before moving at the age of seven to California with her family, where she spent most of her life. She married Walter Hanson on May 25, 1925 in Long Beach, CA. Margaret was a daycare provider most of her life and loved taking care of kids. Margaret and Walter moved to the Shafer area in 1989, from California.
She is survived by husband Walter; grandson, Justin Davis and several other family members. She is preceded in death by son, Michael Davis and a sister, Helen Roberts.
Memorial services 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with Pastor Chuck Arndt officiating. Intement at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
