Snow tubing science at Wild Chutes Snow Tubing

Staff

Wild Chutes Snow Tubing, Taylors Falls, is gearing up for a second season of their educational program, "The Science of Snow Tubing." It is a program designed for math and physics students to get them outdoors to experience the laws of physics first hand while having fun doing it.

What better way to learn about work, power, friction, speed and acceleration? The three-hour discovery trip allows students to work in teams to gather data and measurements at marked zones at the snow-tubing hill. Equipment is provided by Wild Chutes to collect the necessary data as well as student workbook and teacher edition packet. This program is ideal for math and physics classes grades 6-12.
