Jeff Figlmiller is a new special education teacher for the Pathways to Change program. Jeff and his family live in Cottage Grove. Jeff is very excited to be working for Chisago Lakes Schools, he likes to work with people and make a positive difference in their lives.
Carmen Woeltge (pronounced well key) is fairly new to the Chisago Lakes area. She has lived in Lindstrom for two years having moved from Rochester New York with her husband and two children. She is an early childhood special education teacher working in the preschool room at Taylors Falls. She is excited to be working and involved in her local community
Weston Johnson is the new special education teacher at Chisago Lakes Primary School. He grew up in Anoka, Minnesota and attended Anoka High School. He recently graduated from Saint Cloud State University and is taking graduate courses in reading instruction.
In the upcoming school year he will enjoy getting to know his students and meeting the people of the Chisago Lakes community. Outside of school Weston enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading an interesting book, and being with a great group of friends.
Sara Jackson comes to as a native of Duluth. She received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Scholastica in English Education. She will be teaching English at Chisago Lakes High School this coming fall. Sara has also been an active member of the Air National Guard for 8 years with the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth. She is looking forward to teaching in the Chisago Lakes district because of the beautiful surrounding area, the strong community and the excellence in education.
Chuck Mannie is the new part time Intervention Specialist and Check-n-Connect Coordinator at Chisago Lakes Middle School. Chuck just recently completed his masters degree in school counseling and is looking forward to working with students and assisting them in succeeding academically.
In addition he is a huge sports fan. According to Chuck, he may be only a few years younger than Brett Favre is, but their athletic skills are indeed miles apart.
Jina Saueressig is the new Volunteer Enrichment Coordinator for the district. She is charged with soliciting, training and coordinating the volunteers who work with the gifted education programs such as Junior Great Books and Middle School Breakfast Club. Jina and her husband, who is a teacher in the high school, and their children live in the Chisago Lakes district and are very active members of the community.
