Anoka-Ramsey expands to more off-campus locations

Staff

As part of its mission to bring education to all people in its service area, Anoka-Ramsey Community College is now offering college courses at 14 off-campus sites, including eight new locations. In several of these communities, students can complete all the general education requirements (the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum or MnTC), and satisfy one-third of the requirements of a typical bachelor's degree at a very affordable cost.

Students, especially busy working adults, can select the off-campus location that is most convenient for them, including:

• Forest Lake High School

• Lindstrom (Chisago Lakes High School)

• North Branch Main Street School

Earn Two Years of Four-Year Degree

At the Becker, Blaine, Columbia Heights, Elk River, Fridley, Monticello, North Branch and St. Francis locations, students taking a full load of credits each semester can complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum in just two-years.

At the Foley, Forest Lake, Lindstrom, Lino Lakes locations, students can also complete courses by taking just one or two evening classes a week to earn credits towards an associate of arts degree. Credits transfer within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and may be applied to meet the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum requirements and four-year institution general education requirements for a bachelor's degree

Pace and Place for You

Not only can students select a location close to home or work, classes are offered in 16-week, on-location formats (Math), 14-week semester Web-enhanced hybrid (partially on-location, partially online) formats (English Writing, Geology) or 10-week Web-enhanced hybrid (partially on-location, partially online) moderately-accelerated semester formats (Art, Biology, Career Development, Economics, English Literature, Geography, History, Health, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology).
