North Branch Golf Course announced the 2009 Parent/Child tournament winners
The annual Parent/Child 18-hole alternate shot tournament was held Saturday, August 1. Weather was perfect, scores were great and a pizza party followed the competition. Additional prizes were donated by Dominoes Pizza, Blockbuster Video, Bernick's Pepsi and Superior National of Lutsen. Winners were as follows:
Championship Flight
1st place Dave and Al Scherer
2nd place Delmer and Trudy Fairbanks
3rd place Troy and Sam Fairbanks
First Flight
1st place Duane and Alec Johnson
2nd place Tim Fairbanks and Abby Martfeld
3rd place Grant White and Jim Klund
Age 14 and younger
1st place Erik and Brady Brodin
2nd place Garry and Eric Weisinger
3rd place Bryan and Austin Olson
The North Branch Golf Course also announced the 2009 Men's Championship winners.
The annual Men's League 18-hole Club Championship/Steak Fry was held on Sunday, August 2 under ideal conditions.
Forty men competed, with Erik Brodin taking overall low gross medalist honors with a score of 71. Results were as follows:
