'Before and After' a project is done
The Lindstrom Park Board would like to say a big THANK YOU to Boy Scout Eli Klatt from Troop 159 for choosing Morning Sun Park as his Eagle Scout Project. For his project he installed drain tile, a drainage field, and replaced the woodchips in Morning Sun Park. This was a much needed improvement to the park as it has had standing water problems. With the record rainy weather in June, which really caused some additional challenges and delays, we have to say an extra thanks for all the hard work! We appreciate all that was done to fix the park and make it useable for all!

This community never ceases to amaze me, your help is needed
Over the last month or so, we have been soliciting the public for school donations.  The donations would be handed out (discreetly) to those among us who are in trying times and are struggling a little.  Well, I am proud to say that your contributions have successfully packed 100 backpacks with school supplies that will be handed out this week.  Unbelievable.  I love this place.  You never cease to amaze me with your generosity and caringness.  Do you realize how happy you have just made 100 students in the Chisago Lakes School district?  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you also to the great folks at Family Pathways in Chisago City for gathering, packing and dispersing the supplies.

Now's the time for tomatoes
They come in all shapes and sizes and pack a powerful array of disease-fighting nutrients. Juicy, sweet tomatoes picked off the vine are one of summer’s greatest veggies. They are really a fruit, but I won’t go into that. No matter how you eat them, whether in wedges, round slices, chunks or squished, they add a bit of tang to salads, sauces, salsas and more.
