Assault at Harris area group home alleged
A staff member at a vulnerable adult group home, located outside of Harris, is alleging she was sexually assaulted at the house October 14. Two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct have been filed against a 20-year-old man, who authorities arrested and booked three hours after the alleged incident was reported at 10:20 p.m.
Nathaniel Luke Chambers, whose address is the same house number as the group home, faces one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct including imminent harm, and one count of second degree criminal sexual conduct involving use of coercion or force.
According to basic details in the criminal complaint he used his arm to put pressure on the complainant’s neck and damaged her clothing, getting the unidentified woman to submit to intercourse. He threatened her against reporting the incident. She called for help after he left the lower level of the group home, where the incident is said to have taken place. The woman told 9-1-1 dispatch she’d be hiding under an outside deck, but when deputies responded, according to the criminal complaint, she was located indoors.
