Ecumen selling Parmly LifePointes to Monarch
Ecumen Parmly LifePointes in Chisago City is being sold to Monarch Healthcare Management of Mankato, Minnesota.
“We’re thankful to the Chisago City community for supporting Ecumen in its critically important work of serving older adults in the area,” said Ecumen President and CEO Kathryn Roberts. “Parmly will always be a cherished part of our history.”
“Like Ecumen, Monarch is committed to excellence in resident care and high employee satisfaction,” said Monarch CEO Josh Legum. “We’ll also focus on continuing the family atmosphere that is so prevalent at Parmly.”
Legum added that his company is expanding and the Chisago City campus fits well with Monarch’s growth strategy. He said Ecumen and the Parmly team are working with Monarch to make the transition as seamless as possible for residents, their families and employees.
Monarch plans to assume ownership sometime in December 2017.
Monarch currently owns 27 skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living and memory care sites in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Parmly employs more than 200 people and is among the largest employers in this area. The campus includes a care center, short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, and affordable housing. Ecumen has owned Parmly since 1904.
