A North Branch semi truck driver was involved in a fatal crash Wednesday, September 6, in the northwest metro that killed a 22-year-old female. The multi-vehicle crash tied up the freeway for hours around 5 p.m.
The state patrol preliminary report is that 60-year-old Jon Robert Lindeman, of North Branch, was driving a 2014 Peterbilt in the far left northbound lane of #169, at Rockford Road. The truck hit the back end of a Chevrolet Cruze passenger car in the same lane. The impact pushed the Cruze into a Ford Fusion, which then rear-ended a Chrysler Town and Country. Lindeman’s semi truck reportedly continued on and hit a Toyota Camry and pushed it into a Honda Odyssey. In total five persons were affected in the chain reaction crash, plus the victim in the Cruze.
