Lakes Area Police forwarded a case to the county attorney for charges regarding a possible prescription forgery. Thrifty White staff alerted authorities when the paperwork didn’t check out with the prescribing doctor. A burglary was reported at offices in a building on Highway 8 in Chisago City. The forced entry was spotted by a businessperson arriving October 24. A vehicle at the park & ride at #17 in Lent Township and a vehicle parked on Forest Blvd. in Stacy, were scenes of property damage and theft, reported to deputies about 9 a.m. Oct. 23.
A Nessel Township property owner reported metal items stolen from him were scrapped at NRI in Cambridge. Investigators are gathering more information from video and scrapping documents. October 22 Lake Blvd. and Pioneer Trail was the scene of an accident involving a truck, boat unit striking a large passenger vehicle that firsthand reports said was attempting to pass while eastbound on the highway. State patrol did not immediately respond to requests for details. Also, state reports on an October 27 crash at #95 and Hwy. 8 were not available. This incident happened about 1 p.m.
