Forest Lake Police, Sheriff’s personnel and the BCA Crime Alert Network released a missing endangered person notice mid-Monday, Oct 14; but the local 18-year-old connected with authorities several hours later. She had contacted her parents and she was safe, she said.

Lakes Area Police wrote several seatbelt citations over the week and many drivers who weren’t using their seatbelts also got tickets for no proof of insurance.

Two calls to the Chisago Lakes High School, one for marijuana possession and one for an electronic cigarette. Tickets were issued to the minors.

October 8 two suspects in a theft, reported about 7:30 p.m. at the BP gas station in Wyoming, were apprehended by Wyoming Police and booked in jail. The 45- and 48 year-old Minneapolis men were being held pending charges.

In Chisago City, a suspect was located and put under a 72-hour hold after Lakes Area officers found him at-large; accused of going through vehicles in the Matthew Drive neighborhood, in Chisago City, Oct. 9.

October 10 A natural gas line was hit by work crews at Cty Rd. 14 and Hemingway, North Branch, about 9 a.m. Detouring was necessary as the line could be attended to.

October 12 theft of purse from vehicle in Fish Lake Township. Activity was reported on the victim’s credit card at a Forest Lake gas station the next day. A second theft report came in from a home nearby this Fish Lake address and the missing items from that vehicle include a Remington 870 12 guage shotgun.

An incident of forced entry at a residence on North Meadow Curve, Lindstrom was reported Sunday Oct. 13. The quantity of personal belongings in the dwelling made it hard to immediately tell if anything was stolen, and the realtor was notified.

Also Oct. 13 there was a three vehicle crash at Fenwick and Wyoming Trail, reported at 7 p.m. Injuries involved facial lacerations to one driver. A car at the stop sign southbound on Fenwick pulled out and hit a car heading west on Wyoming Trail. The car coming north pulled out and hit both. Wyoming P.D. did not identify the parties.
