None of the spring sports have gotten a chance to get outside yet for practice or games, so the Chisago Lakes baseball and softball teams took matters into their own hands, playing each other in a friendly game of Wiffle Ball.

The North Branch community came out to congratulate Superintendent Dr. Deb Henton for her well-deserved recognition in being named Minnesota Superintendent of the Year. Past and current School Board members, friends and family and school district staff stopped by the reception, held at the high school April 12 for officially presenting the award that was announced a few months ago.
Just like almost every high school sports team in Snowland, the Wildcat track and field teams haven’t been able to participate in any outdoor events yet this “spring.” But the Wildcats have participated in a couple of indoor events as they dream of running and jumping outdoors.
Juanita Mae Perry, age 86, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Amery Memory Care. Juanita was the eldest of 13 children. She was born on April 15, 1931 to Neil and Lillian Elwood and the mother to 11 children; Gloria (Ron) Butterfield; Susan Newell; Thomas, Mitch (Judy), Lynn (Bruce) Erickson; Vicky (Harlen) Korynta, Mark, Randy, Lance (Cathy), Stephen, Lisa (Paul) Jensen.
The Chisago Lakes School Board met April 12 for a regular meeting. All members were in attendance. After approving paying the bills, the board recognized student athletes from the winter sports season.
