Chisago City is okay with new elementary school

Preliminary and final plats for the new Chisago Lakes Elementary School gained approval from the Chisago City Council Jan. 9 contingent on resolving a number of questions about streets, trails, fees and traffic control.

Vikings impressive off the court, working towards success on it

Despite not having a ton of  success on the court this season, the 2-10 North Branch boys basketball team record hasn’t stopped team mates from bonding and volunteering off the court.

OBITUARIES

Noah Rockenback

Noah J. Rockenback, age 22 of Center City, Minnesota, passed away on January 10, 2018.  Noah was born on February 2, 1995 in Chisago City, Minnesota to parents John and Michelle Rockenback.  He graduated from Chisago Lakes High School in 2013.  He was an active member of Robotics, National Honor Society, Cross Country and Swimming.  He was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons at the Chisago Lakes Community Pool.  He attended North Dakota State University as a Computer Science major and was active in ROTC as an Air Force Cadet, Detachment 610 Eagle Wing One.
